Sometimes we observe tooth wear and wonder if vomiting or substance abuse has been the trigger.  It’s easy to ascribe a diagnosis based on an assumption.  However, ascertaining the aetiology requires a good medical and dental history, enquiry and expansion of the patient's answers and sometimes that involves delicate questions.
